Kinell, are my eyes playing f**king tricks on me, you are damned hot Smile

As for your problem have you tried booting from the CD, and doing a repair?

Just a suggestion, have you tried removing all CDs and Floppy disks from the computer before booting it up?

I think it could be either a hardware or a software fault. If a repair from the XP disk doesn't work, you could try making sure the IDE lead is pushed in properly. Or maybe you might be a problem with your Mainboard or less likely your Hard Drive. Try you Hard Drive in another computer.

After checking your cables are in securely, try chksdk c: in the recovery console (assuming that you use Windows XP an it's installed on the c: partition).

If that doesn't work, go into the BIOS and make sure that the hard-drive in question is the first on the list of boot-device priorities, short of that you can only check in another machine, or set it as slave, get all your info off that you need and re-format.
