i would say google. mostly i would stay away from wmv or wma, they got copy protections. and torrents are great but still depends wat r u downloading, it is more to using your logic , than where r u downloading from. doesn't matter u download from torrent site or limewire or something else, there is always a pretty good chance some one can release there custom made torjan Twisted Evil .

depends wat r u downloading...ftp can be good, but if u can get a good torrent ftp is no match. as far as i know none of the ftp will go at 700KB/s but torrents will.

u own the server, and we talking abt downloading, where does that relate, u missed me. u can get 1 MB or even more depends on ur WAN type and ofcourse upload pipe and CIR and so many things.
