best for music is soulseek, can find good, hard to find music on there
for albums look for bittorrent, but its a bit of a pain to use sometimes for a non geek

Limewire and Bearshare are used by novices and attract spyware and rubbish.

There are many different ones you can use. If you want to download 1 song for example then p2p software is fine but personally I use "Ares" for that. link is -

The benefit of torrents are less risk, quicker (usually) and if you want music albums you can get them in 1 download.

Thought Id get my pennysworth in... I recommend Isohunt and Mininova as thee best torrents and stay away from Limewire its full of nasty spyware and viruses..
