Whenever I use the internet from my other computer, it freezes whenever I try to leave the homepage.

I have scanned the computer for viruses & spyware, and done everything else I can thing of.

Any ideas?

I may not have the answer you seek but a little more info would help (please don't take that the wrong way)

The other comp is it using the net via a router, do you use it solely on the one internet connection as you do your other comp.

What adware/spyware scanners did you use?

I use both adaware & spybot, and between them they pretty much pick up everything. Use AVG free edition for virus scanning, 10x better than any of that macafee or Norton rubbish.

Also, you might wanna try re-installing internet explorer (if thats what you're using) you can get it from www.microsoft.com

Make sure to remove any browser helper object & toolbars such as yahoo! or google etc if you have any on there, they're full of adware rubbish that can easily effect your browsing.

You could always try spy sweeper as well, not everyones cup of tea, but it doesn't show false positives which is a good thing Wink

Try Registry Fix (should be able to download it somewhere). I'd use Bit Torrent or Azureus for it

This would be more likely to aggrevate the problem in the long run, this setting dictates how much the computer remembers of the pages you visit, thus (on slower connections/machines) can adversly affect the page return rate as the machine will have more to go through before returning the page in question, anything over 20mb Is silly in my experience.

Glad you've got it sorted though laura Smile
