Home >> Computers Hardware&Software >> Bind running as master and slave DNS servers
23.04.2008, 21:23 quote
The object is to get bind running as master and slave DNS servers. To do this I compile bind with the dlz code and mysql support. Once this is done you then configure bind to run using sql lookups rather than the normal flat files. This is done, I then need to write PHP code to interact with the database so that I can add / edit / delete the DNS records. will really need to use Linux, bind and PHP / MySQL. Once its all working I need to set up and configure the slave server and get the SQL replication running so any record changes on the master server are automatically replicated to the slave server. It’s not something I can do with windows.
Any suggestions or code would be very Useful
Thanks for your time
