“This will be the most important thing I’ve ever done” Steve Jobs commented about Apples latest product, the "Tablet PC" which has not been revealed but which is going to be revealed today.

Its name is "iSlate" and like a huge iPhone....

Let's wait and see...

I'm not bothered about webcams, but not supporting Flash is fecking ridiculous. I don't want one!

same here, i'd have loved to get one even if it doesn't support cam facility but without flash player, internet will be of next-to no-use.

The reason Apple hasn't included Flash support in the "iPad" is because it's viewed as unsafe in Mac o/s and since Adobe, don't know or won't fix the problems, their loss.

Nobody will buy it if they knows what it means. Luckily for apple 90% of their market are "It's pretty, I'll get it" buyers, 9% are fanboys and only the other 1% make an informed decision about what to buy.

I admit I'm one of the 90% but I will not buy something that doesn't meet my needs.

Eh, it's like a gaint itouch and a rubbish laptop without the keyboard - plus loads of other stuff. At that size, I'd rather have a new waffer thin laptop with a touch screen. Hard to get as excited as Mr Jobs about this one. Says it's 'simple' - limited, is more the word. And no webcam, surely missed a trick there, thought it would uses it screen size, and it's lounge use to make coversation more realistic than sitting in front a comp

Very true, most are after apple products not because of its productivity but just because it looks cool. Flashy things don't work in long run, most such things are garbage.

I'll not opt for mac or something similar as long I'm satisfied with my current os RH Linux & simple xp professional.

The Apple iPad is an amazing product and am finally glad it's out on the market. it certainly opens doors to blind and visually impaired people all over the world. not only as a compact note taker but also as a speaking book reader, etc. I've had chance to check one of these out and am very impressed. I am a very committed apple user and have been for many years. In my own opinion Windows will hever cut it for blind and visually impaired people. not only is the windows OS unstable, it also costs us a fortune in 3rd party software and scripting.

Even linux with some limited accessibility has it's flaws and I spent a good while with it.

All I can say is that due to folks like me getting involved with apple as developers and testers, etc we have a fully functioning platform to work with. OK there's some grey areas in the music production environment with Logic studio 9 failing to meet voiceover compliance requirements but it's just like protools HD.

my £2.50 inc VAT worth lol

Nice toy....but a bit expensive and no Flash is a problem for watching video streams.

Compared to the iPhone 4, it is better value for money though....much bigger
