Hi all

Any of you bright ones in here know any other mode of live chat other than Skype? I've downloaded it and it won't work. Aradon has already had a good look round and can't find a problem and the pc of the person I want to chat to doesn't support an updated version of msn so we can't use that either.

Any ideas would be gratefully recieved

The other ways I can think of involve either Ventrillo or Teamspeak.

It involves running a server app so that people can join it and chat with you.

any version of messenger will allow you to chat (by typing) with all other versions of messenger.
I used to use a program called trillion (i think) which combined all the major messenger type programes (mIRC, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo ) in to the one program.
If you mean chat by talking, then yes teamspeak and ventrillo are the 2 most popular programes. you do not need to set up a server as both companies provide free to use open servers. although you wont be able to guarantee a private chat as other people could join your channel.
personaly i'd get them to upgrade msn messenger as thats the simplist to use.
If you want webcam chat then another alternatve is palltalk.
hope that info helps

Try JaJah..haven't used Skype and used Jajah only once, so you'll have to read the small print. I think they are supposed to be similar. Let me know if its the same or similar, please.
