Prepare yourselves for some serious fame:

The blokes from the newly re-formed D:Ream are having a photoshoot in my shop next week.

That sounds impressive and good publicity for your shop, hope it goes well.

I've met quite a few famous people, whilst out and about, it's kind of hard to avoid meeting famous people really, and believe me, I do try. I hate it when you're in a club and somebody famous is near you, all of a sudden you can't move for people trying to meet them. If I ever spot anybody famous I'll normally move away.
Though it's not technically meeting somebody, I got a message back from Gael Kakuta recently saying thanks for my compliments of him.

I had a very entertaining evening with the Moody Blues in a Gibralter bar many years ago. We spent the night drinking and chatting together. They were there on a big sail boat, and I was part of the yachting crowd. The whole band was there, and Justin Heywoods wife. It was a memorable and very enjoyable evening.

Pretty cool story, Mariner! Very Happy

How coincidental that I was watching a local station here in Ontario, Canada, which was playing a recent Moody Blues concert from London. They still sound great!

"I know You're Out There Somewhere" was performed magnificently. Smile

I used to meet the West Ham '70s football team, as we all drunk in the same pub back then, plus my friend lived next door to Bobby Moore.

Vikki Michelle from "'allo allo" used to come into our shop quite often. She was so different from her tv part, but a really lovely lady.

I think fame depends on what circles you are in.

Sports personalities, TV stars, entertainment and media people tend to be what most people refer to as famous.

I am sure I have seen many and met some mainly Scottish rugby stars.

But the encounter I remember the most, was when I was in a travel shop in Cheltenham booking a ski holiday. I had to wait behind Sharron Davies MBE as she discussed and tried to book a group scuba diving holiday. She was very specific about what she wanted, and the travel agent was looking very flustered. For those of you who do not know or have heard of her, she has a web site. No prizes for guessing the name of the website.

I did not mind waiting in that queue as it was quite entertaining.

I'm not surprised. I guess all the money and fame had gone to his head? His ego is probably bigger than England itself. I like a lot of his songs. Still,
being arrogant and rude can make someone a non-fan
real quick! UT
