I forgot (how could I?!) last summer went back home to cornwall and the wurzels were playing in a pub carpark - landlords birthday/his mates - so we stayed for that and after we had a chat with them and had a pint or two, They were really down to earth nice old boys.

Bobby Tambling, Ex-England International and Chelsea legend.
I got him to speak at an awards night recently so was chatting to him for ages. He was seriously interesting to talk to, some great stories AND he came from an era when football players were football players, none of the nonsense you see these days.

Tom Hanks - Recent visit/stopover at glasgow (i think his daughter does an Art degree at St. Andrews)- was sent to get an interview at 8:30 am in the morning with a half asleep photographer.
Didnt know room number so stood in wait outside the door. He came out.
I introduced myself and photographer - We chatted - I said I was a big fan of his (I know ,lame, but was only thing that was swimming in mind) He said thanks.
I asked for an interview, he said no.
gave me and photographer friend autographs and took leave.
all in all, the only thing that struck me was how absolutely humble and calm he was.
other than that, met Dave Jones (creator of GTA), Andy Serkis (sp) - the voice of Gollum in the movies and, on many an occasion, the 1990 roster of the indian cricket team.

Hmm, lets see there have been a few.......
Anthony Perkins of Psycho fame, lovely fella. Johnny Depp, staying at one of the local hotels when he was here making a film, Ewan MacGregor - doing the same thing (if i remember rightly i had a dance with him that night
), Daniel Bedingfield - concert over here and drinks after and more recently Lenny Henry - same again. Now he's one hell of a big fella!!! Scary!

I think I forgot to mention that I met band Napalm Death once at a pub in Birmingham in January 1987 at a gig they were also playing at alongside a few other punk bands. A couple of my mates and me sat and had a conversation with their original singer Nick Napalm. I think he was a year younger than me at 19 I was 20 at the time.
Sadly the lineup changed soon after that and they took on a more thrash metal style along way from the original punk style they started with.

Nearly!!!
Quite a few years ago, my (then) husband was friends with Prince Charles, Lady Diana and Phil Collins.....we were invited to a dinner do, my chance to meet them, but I was very, very pregnant at the time and didn't feel like tarting up and acting on my best behavior, so I didn't go!
