Home >> Property and Real-Estate >> Houses for sale under 7,000 GBP
06.03.2007, 20:15 quote
I am just making a list of houses (free hold including land of course)
under 10,000 Euros (about 7,000 GBP) within 500 miles from London
In Eastern Germany they are ridiculously inexpensive as there are many unemployed people who need money and usually they are forced sales - but even to the forced sales auction nobody hardly ever turns up....so compared to the UK they are ridiculously cheap. They will not rise in value - but if you have ever wanted to own something...even just for smashing the windows for a laugh or to use it as a rehearsal room for your heavy metal band in the summer - this might be a fun investment.
Thee first one is:
for 8,000 Euros
Location:

The second one is:
for 8,400 Euros (about 5700 quid). It is said to be worth 18,000 Euros (12,000 quid)...but as nobody wants to buy it and it is a forced sale.
Location:

The third one is:
for only 6,600 Euros (about 4500 GBP).

Just 3 but its needing a severe external decoration upgrade but nobody seems to want to get their butts in gear and do anything about it
. Think a lot of it boils down to money

Of course they are ugly...that's why they are so cheap...and nobody wants them.
It is just so weird that 400 miles away in the UK the same would be woth 100 times more - even if it was just for the land. have a look on rightmove...what you would get for that - nothing...then look again for something up to 30k - still nothing...and then at 50 or 60k you start getting half share stuff or reeeeaaally run-down houses.
you could spend 60k on something like that:
... probably excluding the white plastic chair.
or 3 garages in Gosport:
I would be happy to buy an old and ugly building in the UK for under 7k...or even 10k - because you could knock it down and get a planning permission really easy, and then the land itself would be worth 100-200,000 GBP alone - even without a building. The house itself is never the issue - you can build a new one for 50k

Liverpool and Manchester have got some really cheap districts where small terraced houses are going dead cheap. But they are in streets of mostly boarded up houses in areas with very high crime rates.

So the cunning plan would be, to buy all the property there and then to educate the people for free. Then property prices go up and everyone is happy lol

East Essex is relativly cheap too around Clacton and Harwich. Much cheaper than for the rest of the southeast.
