Thats fantastic Sue! I think the tiny patterns give a special ethereal feel to the picture/painting - surely your patience is worth it?! Very Happy

OMG ED!Your picture above me is lovely, I like the way you've used the spectrum as well as the design itself. I've never met anybody else who has the same patience as me to do loads of tiny repeating patterns. You have this little leaf shape and I mainly use tiny diamond shapes as in this pic entitled 'Soul Star'

By drawing/painting the diamonds individually I was trying to capture an element of spiralling movement as well as a metallic appearance. I had this one on Exhibition one year at St.Martins-in-the-fields crypt in Trafalgar Square.

and so is this one Sue! Both fantastic!

Thank you Ed and Fireinmyheart.
I have to say, since I created that last picture I still use loads of mini diamond shaped patterns in my work, but now I'm using more metallic colours to create them, rather than trying to paint in a way to give an illusion of metal and sparkles, as in this detail of Angel Eyes

Very nice work here!
I love the comic book work and all the Electra drawings!

For the record, here are some of mine. I love using Prismacolor pencil crayons, as well as other traditional media like acrylic, watercolour and sometimes even digital pops up every now and again Very Happy

Tattoos are still art as far as I'm concerned pippa, lovely to see them and they do look unique, unlike many others which are common like the barbed wire, tribal and such like. Hope we can see some more as you create new ones.
