Strangely enough though modern society laws reflect the rules and regulations laid out in the Bible. With different countries abiding by different sets of rules, according to which religion or cultures were historically dominant. For example Western society following that of the bible (Ten commandments) and Middle-Eastern perhaps following that of the Quran. So perhaps over time some of these laws were simply made more acceptable than others? I mean had they not been based biblically who would've decided what was right and what was wrong? And is living by these basic rules, common to most religions, really such a bad thing?

i cannot name more than 10 ppl that i know that would even dream of living by the ten commandements, and i live in ireland, the most catholic country there is. its not a bad thing by living by these rules no, but in reality, very few do it. simple fact. its no longer part of day to day living

If you read the Qur'an and the Hadiths, marriage and love before it are all explained in detail - and the thorough rational reasoning without the ambiguity embroidered into the unfortunately distorted christian 'bible'. All your answers are in the Hadiths and Sunnah, but never try to argue a point if not fully in the know. To set the cat amongst the pigeons, try here:

Correct - but back then, he was not practising Judaism as proscribed by the generic scribes, so quite different! Jesus was really a Muslim - but I don't normally tell anyone...!
