Any tips on writing a fantastic persuasion essay. I've got one page to convince some very intelligant people that they should let me into their school for a semester, aside from the fact that my grades are as good as they should be, not their bad but they could be hire.

So the long and short of it is, I need a fantastic one page essay to convince these people that I'm one of the 26 people they're looking for. And as I said, my grades aren't bad, I'm hovering just below an A average, but they're not where they could be. Any tips would be greattttly appeciated, 'cause I'm not the best writer in the world.

Make sure you use the correct forms of "they are and their" etc Also never use abbrievated words, use they are, I am etc and double spell and grammar check like mad. Other than that, dunno Smile

Somone ate a dictionary this morning huh?

I find your level of written and spoken communication to be assuredly formulated perfectly with the specified paramitres of the english language.

Or....

Sweet you can spell too Very Happy

Oh and GG is right, never abreviate always check for gramatical and spelling errors, punctuation, how the words look on the page and how they sound when spoken aloud. I have an A* in english lit and lang and i still get it wrong.

As well as the fine advice from gg & da I would suggest keeping things relatively simple. I once made the mistake of trying to impress a college with a complex application... All that happens is that it gets read as pretentious. As long as you are realistic and present it well with all the information needed you should be fine. Especially with those grades

Hi, I have some writing experience. I would advise you to keep your language simple. Use short, punchy sentences. Make sure you're application has a strong intro - a hook that develops into the middle section (where you set out the supporting claims). And then follow with strong ending which summarises all the point you have made.

They are looking for something original so think about how you can express your qualities in an original way. I am happy to look over your entry if it's relatively short Smile Message me and I'll give you my email addy. And no, this isn't an elaborate pulling technique. The only elaborate pulling technique I have experienced cost me a dislocated shoulder.
