I don't think I have a typical Nottingham accent. I don't use much slang when I talk...

I pretty much talk how I type. Confused

My voice isn't a typical girly voice I don't think..it isn't high and sqeaky, it's fairly low. Confused Which I hate. And some of the time it has a rasp to it.

I hate hearing my voice if somebody has recorded me talking!!!

i sound mostly derbyshire with a bit of lancashire (preston) and south west (chepstow) thrown in for good measure lol! i dont have a hig voice and i dont ave a low voice its just in between voice. i sometimes speak in a more well spoken way than at other times this tends to be at things like job interviews and on the phone (not to friends) and i guess this is due to the whole private school thing until i was 11!

Mister blue bird's on my shoudler..

Is it wrong that from reading this that is the thing that sticks out most about the thread?

On topic: I got complicated once years ago on being well spoken. I think I've slipped since then though and tend to sometimes go into Lancashire and sometimes into Scouse but not massively. Hardly surprising considering where I'm from!

No I meant to put the wrong word in..honestly Laughing

I find the trick to getting out of muddled things is to do that all the time. That way people can't tell whether you are intentionally screwing up or not. Please you can come up with some funny things..not that I can remember any at the moment..

I have no idea how you would describe my accent. Friends up this way take the mickey out of my 'posh' accent, but I know it's not, it's just not as dead common as my mates Wink

Oh and Scottie, yours is nothing like I expected it to be!

Well all i can say on that note is that Red's accent is a lovely one to listen to.

As for my voice/accent well.... Personally i sound like a nasally congested Danny Devito on Helium with a mouth full of ulcers. Very Happy

Somehow i find that hard to believe. The description of the voice just doesn't go with the pic, Chief.
