My dad is getting moved back for 3 weeks to a hospital much nearer me ,, which will be great (not the same one my mums in though) but will still be a lot easier for me , but there are no beds available .. feckn NHS eh! then he will go back to the other hosp in 3 weeks for further scans

Hopefully Karen if all the scans come back ok ... full body scan last week showed no cancers anywhere else in his body which was a great relief and the shadow they found in his brain scan has shrunk - so things are looking a bit brighter

that's WONDERFUL news claudia. has he been conscious and able to talk all this time? are they sure the shadow on his brain is anything and not an "artifact" that is something that isn't anything at all?

He isnt compismentas (sp) ? but i've never heard of an artifact - so that seems promising thanks

"anything not naturally present but introduced by some external source". keep in mind that i'm not a doctor, ask his doctors about this. doubtful since it has shrunk.

Bert will not be coming back, it's official.

Yes he has his own site now, co-owned/run by myself and obviously a fair bit of his time will be concentrated on that. Some members from here have joined although I wouldn't exactly say they've 'gone over' to it. That sounds like they've abandoned FB which I'm pretty sure they haven't. But who says forum members are exclusive to any site anyway Very Happy lol

Some of you have his MSN and he'll be more than happy to talk to anyone that wants to talk to him.
