In some countries, strip scanners are allowed and could be used at airports - in some countries they are already in action.



These are similiar to x-ray devices, they just have a different wavelength in order to see through your clothes....so the people at the security check will basically be able to see you naked.

It would certainly be more comfortable and less annoying than a strip-search.

I think anything that makes security measures less complicated, and probably therefore more thorough, makes a lot of sense in my book.

On my last holiday I saw pensioners struggling to comply with quite some complex requirements.

My key question would be: is it safe?

OH MY GOD...!!! i soooo disagree with this strip scanner thing.. what about the children...no way wld i want my neice nor myself to have to undergo such a humiliating prosess!!!!!

How do they look up your arse?..make you bend over?

As PG said, they would make a good substitute for a strip search. I hope they aren't used as a replacement for metal detectors though, and used on everyone.
