Well after my power went off last night and not a sound to be heard, I got up this morning and the power WAS STILL OFF it came on after about 14 hours.... so although it made me annoyed, I'm luckier than some who're gona have a second night without power........just hope that I don't have a rotten day travelling tomorrow.

online companies screwing up wi orders which means late gifts for my mate

mine is a few days old but i need to vent my spleen. why oh why does the post office put a note in your door to say they got your parcel and you wasent in.. then the times they open for you to collect it is 8.00am-1.30 how the hell when you are working are you ment to get the parcel eh! then i get charged £1.08 to collect the thing it was 8p underpaid and a pound handling and all it was a bloody christmas card taken me 3 days to try and get there...

A stupid junkie in dublin annoyed me today. Got all aggresive and in my face cos i wouldnt 'spare some change for a coffee'..grrrrr!

visiting the new doctors surgery. they moved from the old one 2 weeks ago. this new one isn't blind friendly considering building regulations and access regulations. it's not warm and cosy at all. feels like an airport lounge for economy class lol

All was going well today. completion of the last stage of the build and renovation of the house..... untill.........

I had contacted my local builders merchants who I have a trade account with. I phoned to let them know I wished to request a refund of goods as I had over ordered. no problem there... They arranged to collect this afternoon. So I've kept my ears open for the usual wagon.

it arrived at 3 PM to be greeted by a "Jobsworth" miserable excuse of a human being who couldn't be even bothered to walk through the gate.

"you've some building materials for me to collect."
Yes.
"where are they?"
behind the second gate for security reasons.
"OH I'M NOT MOVING THEM. That's your job"
Fair enough.
"I'm going now to another place to drop off materials. back in a bit."

so this idiot leaves a small pallet on the drive way and tells me he wants it all on the pallet ready for lifting. this idiot couldn't be bothered to assist me at all.

Never mind the health and safety implications for me. having to move materials which are over the weight recommended for a single person lift without lifting equipment. So he went, I had to drag and lift all these materials onto this pallet. in the process I have managed to damage my back and as of this moment onward am in excruciating pain.

This total waste of time turns up, gives me abuse over the load. fails to give me the collection docket, etc, lifts the load with the hiab on the back of the wagon, swings it over the gate as materials are starting to move. this tital twirp should have strapped the load before lifting, damaged the tarmac with the support foot of the wagon. then left. I'm now stuck on the drive way struggling to move after slipping on debris he had left.

After he had left, I got on the phone to the builders merchants and was totally livid. in a ton of pain and having to sort out a mess.

The most stressful part of this isn't all the stress and hassle of the merchants. it's the fact I can't take any form of pain relief as I have a serious alergy to all pain relief.

oh well. I'm laying on my bed with my mac at my side and a stock of chocolate while listening to the chieftains and willie clancy.
