So I would just like to politely remind you all not to forget my card this year.
As for me, anyone who would like a card from ME this year are welcome tro PM me their address and I'll gladly send one along.......

Please note that sending me your address might end up in all sorts of weird and wonderful things being delivered to your door including (but not limited to) junk mail, credit card bills and of course, livestock)

MWAH!! You're on! But the livestock has to be small ok? Cuz I've only got spare mouse cages....and no room to swing a cat, not even a kitten, she just swings off the curtains. Razz

I don't ever remember anyone having taken me out for an special evening on Valentines Day Sad

However, I remember the arrival of single rose, perfume, poems and songs created with genuine affection.........but sadly never from a sweetheart of my choosing......and one year I even managed to discover the identity of my stalker of 6 months after seeing him deliver a Valentine's Day Card to my home. I was even more 'freaked out' by the contents and was relieved to see him cycling off in his tea-cosy hat but a bit scared that he had been prepared to come to my home. Having found out his identity I was able to put an end to it and have never seen him since.

I don't think I have EVER been given a valentines day gift.

Even when I had been in a relationship with a bloke for 2 and a half years. No valentines day gifts. Confused not even a card.

Evil or Very Mad

I have to admit that I make a point of not doing anything special for Valentines Day if I haven’t known someone for at least a month beforehand - at least I don’t dump someone just before such an occasion, just so I don’t have to buy something.

This time last year I sent my then girlfriend (ooh la la, I feel some stirrings) something by courier, but it didn’t arrive until the 16th, I was a bit miffed.

On the whole, I don’t ‘do’ things like Valentines Day – and before anyone says it’s because I’m tight, its not. I try to do nice things for someone special spontaneously, like leaving notes or flowers for them for when they get home from work sometimes (and have to admit that the girlfriend mentioned above did the same for me (notes, not flowers!) – I’m such a soft git, I still have all the folded black notelets she left for me on the magnet board)

Edit: I was thinking about sending some flowers or something to someone I met from FB, but then realised that if I did that, I'd have to be fair and send some to all of them, which could prove quite expensive

There is something good to be said about Valentine's Day, it gives the opportunity for you to make someone's day, with a totally unselfish act (bearing in mind the receiver doesn't usually get told who sent the card).

But, for those of you who aren't romantic, it could in the very least give you a good reason to feel good about yourself, even if just for one day!

A nice card does me fine - It annoys me that it takes Valentines day for men/women to feel they have to be romantic Heart

Valentine's Day cards are like sex, if you get them all the time, it's no big deal.
But if you go a while without one, you appreciate it so much more......
