Just wondering if anyone is going to the V festival this weekend? I'm going to the Weston Park (staffordshire) event on Sunday, should be good day out. Particularly looking forward to seeing Kasabian and Radiohead.

I'll be going to Weston Park myself this weekend. Getting a bus down on Friday morning for a hardcore drinking session (no music till Saturday)
Apparently its going to be wet, ah well I love the rain.
Its my birthday on Saturday too so hopefully I can blag some free stuff!
Bring on Radiohead, Groove Amarda, Gomez, Beck & Faithless.

Know if there's any breakbeat and or Drum 'n' Bass?

you lucky lucky people watched it thru the day on E4 then when I got in from a wedding reception on CH4, poured myself a large remy & watched radiohead blow everyone out the water..i can't imagine how good that was actually being there..national anthem!! ..wow.. killer bassline & the line 'everyone around here...has got fear' just seemed to make more sense & be so right..about sums up where we are at present. Didn't see kasabian were they any good? they usually kill it

Trouble was Kasabian and Radiohead were on at same time - talk about bad planning. I saw most of Kas and then dashed off to catch the end of Radiohead which was when the started playing Karma Police, etc. Brilliant day out, think i might do the whole weekend next time.

I don't remember much to be honest. Got soaked and drunk on Friday, after that Radiohead were excellent and saw some pretty good sets at the Strongbow tent (drum 'n' bass set on Saturday evening was phat.)

But that's about it really, everything else is a blank (somehow managed to spend £160 in 3 days on large quantities of alcohol & drugs *I don't condone or encourage this because I'm an idiot * (and it was a celebration of me finishing un & it was my 22). Thought faithless were wicked tho...

I was at Weston Park too, for the whole weekend.

I like Radiohead loads and had seen them live twice before and they were great both times.

And I thought they totally sucked this time.

Kasabian were OK, but for me, the standout band was Faithless, and Morrissey was fantastic as well.

Bloc Party and The Magic Numbers also rocked.

I'm not complaining about your weekend or anything, but that's exact;y why I didn't go this year.

V was always about getting to see good bands, I hate it when people just to go get pissed. The d n' b tent just reflects how the whole 'festival' is crap now.
