If you have never had one - be happy and hope you will never have one...I think this was the nastiest kind of physical examination...and most embarrasing one, I have ever had!

I shoved a piece of lego up there once. Dunno how a camera fits...

Ouch poor you - They had me under when they did mine! (Although being told "dont worry we've seen it all before" did not help me as they'd not seen *me* before thank you very much, but I was so glad to be in the land of nod when they did it all the same!). Being alseep at the time of op did kind of lessen the humiliation.
I should also imagine it was painful, or did they give you local anasthesia?

Yes...but painful anyway... Confused

Well, I think I am talking about essentially the same thing as Toby?
I had a camera inside the bladder but also inside the kidneys - which might be why I had a GA as they also removed tissue for analysis.

I was very sore after mind you!

Mr Darkhorse had one of those today; he says it was bloody painful and I don’t think he got more than a pea-sized ‘local’ in the form of a cream a few seconds before they shoved the cystoscope up his wotsit. I bet it wasn’t as painful as the surgery is going be though – that’ll teach the bastard for taking me to the vet and having my leg amputated

I'm not even sure why I clicked on the topic as I knew full well what it would be about!

According to Mr Darkhorse it took almost a week to 'heal' properly. Now the poor bastard is waiting by the telephone for the hospital to call and arrange for him to visit them once again so they can have another go - although this time they'll be doing unspeakable things through the cystoscope, like actually removing and burning things inside him! I dread to think what kind of mood he'll be in when they're done burgling his insides! Thankfully I shall either be staying with someone else or in kennels whilst he is hosiptal and won't have to put up with his miserable demeanour and foul language.

Daer Miss Pebbles,
Please pass on my sincere best wishes to Mr Darkhorse and tell him I shall be rooting for him.
Yours faithfully (with crossed legs and watering eyes, at the thought poor man),
Rocketgirl. xx

Dear Miss Rocketgirl

Mr Darkhorse says thank you for your thoughts. He found out this morning that he is going for surgery on March 4th (which also happens to be my birthday - hip hip hurrah for me! I’ll be 6!)

Yours most agingly
Pebbles (Miss)

I thought I’d bump this topic, as someone I know from the forums was asking about this tonight, and bumping it will make it easier to find in the morning Wink

Dear Flirtbox

The Two-Legged One (that’s Mr Darkhorse, of course) is having another one of these on Friday.

Ouch!!!

I think he is hoping that they’ll do the chemotherapy at the same time, so they only have to invade his nether regions once.

I bet it won’t hurt as much as when the vet stole my hind leg though!

I remain
Yours most informatively
Pebbles The Three-Legged Dog (Miss)
