Ok.... well look through your local council page... i.e care homes, childrens day care centres and such like. either give them a call or write a nice letter.
I work full time with people with severe learning difficulties and complex needs. We are always looking for volunteers to help us out. Its a fab job and i know its not for everyone, but! they way i look at it... is if i can make someone smile even only once for the day then that has been my job well done!

I already help out with my uncle that has severe learning difficulties, and find that hard.

I'm thinking about doing volunteer work for a refuge or something like that....

That sounds like a fab idea! Then go for it! Although you are young i feel you have a great deal to offer Do it!

The best way to go about it, is by asking if there is a possible opening for any future voluntary work? Tell them a little about yourself and what present experiances you may have? Sell your self..... you will be fine
