Was just watching something on the TV about UFO’s and was wondering how many people actually believe in stuff like that?

Personally I think it’s a load of crap made up by attention seekers and deranged individuals who claim to have been abducted and given rectal probes.

I’m sure UFO’s do exist but are most likely a natural phenomenon .

I've seen too much to dismiss the idea of UFOs totally out of hand......and being a "paranormal chaser" for many years.....but I'm with you Leglover, insofar as I am inclined to 'assume' a) there is a natural explanation and b) I've yet to meet an 'abductee' that had any real conclusive evidence, and dare I say it yes the one's I've met have come across as in dire need of a head doctor...or was that the result of the rectal probing? Well, purely by definition, 'Unidentified Flying Objects' do exist, until they are identified.
I saw something once which looked kinda like a huge bunch of silver balloons tied together, high up in the sky. It was probably a big bunch of silver balloons.
I think we'd be stupid to think that this planet is the only place in the universe to have 'life' though. We have Drakes equation to thank for that; see here> http://www.activemind.com/Mysterious/Topics/SETI/drake_equation.html

So assuming one exists, would a sufficiently advanced 'alien being' bother coming here? Well maybe for minerals, water, food etc, or for a look about perhaps, but I doubt whether they'd have much interest in contacting us, we'd be like cavemen in their eyes....

thing about UFO's and Aliens is alot of people seem to think that they would be a similar life form relying on similar life systems. for instance, there is nothing to say that life cannot exist on a planet that doesnt have oxygen, it could just be a life form/system that we dont recognise as one or havent seen before, that in mind, there are most probably thousands or millions of different life forms that we know nothing about and probably never will.

Totally agree. They said as there's no water on mars there cant be life, but maybe a life form doesnt need water.
If life on earth began as a single amoeba, whats to say someplace else in the universe theres not *intelligent* life like that? Just because we got bigger, grew legs and walked etc. doesnt mean to say others have to - look at ants, they are incredibly organised and intelligent, just ants havent bothered to build a spaceship and go look for life elsewhere (that we know of hehe).

i for one do believe in them.people can be quite ignorant towards to the subject due to the rubbish that is shown to us in cinema's and television screens.u should read the work of paul benewtiz which gives u a good insight on alien conspiracys.fair enough it may not be true but id rather believe a good lie than boring truth any day of the week.

I did not want to get involved in this one but there is nothing else at the moment to comment on.

I'm with cheeky on this one. Till the day one appears they are fiction to me although i will contemplate their existence.
