Well this is the first thing that I've decided to unleash upon this site so I thought I'd start with an observation...

I've done my share of clubbing, pubbing, dancing, partying and all the excellent madness that that entails.

Now perhaps I'm getting old {or cynical perhaps?} but I'm starting to feel I've seen a change in the general out and about scene.

Where as before there was a time when going out involved a potential KB at the door for being too young, now it appears if your over 27 your not getting in!!

But the funny thing is I don't really mind ' cause I don't really understand young folk with their mental music {I mean happy hardcore - what the f$@k's that all about?}. Don't get me wrong there's been many a night when I could be found "on one" dancing like a man possessed.

Maybe I'm moving towards the opinion that youth is wasted on the young. But hold on a minutue I ain't ready for sacking going out and about and trading in my latest pumas for a pair of tartan slippers and matching house coat just yet.

Even though many of my friends have settled down, or tread the various paths that life may have led them {both long and short/and God bless them all} I don't feel that I'm quite ready for the going out to pasture just yet.

Anyway, just a thought so if anybody would like to agree/disagree, noise this up, have a laugh at the overall ideas here, or jsut wants to say anything related {how tenuiously} then I'd be interested to hear what you've got to say.

Later...Johnny P.S. I know I've got a rubbish user name but I was really stuggling to get into the site - Hence the crappy name....enough

Welcome to the forums.

Hope you have fun here!

I agree with all you said there - I think someone needs to open a club for all the 'nearly olds'.

One that play good music with lyrics and not too loud please!

Where the drinks are normal things and not flourescent.

Where the seats are comfy and heels for the ladies are not compulsory.

Where it finishes at midnight so you do nto feel like the first to leave.

Next door to a nice food shop that stays open late and does not smell of fried food and bleach.

Oh and plentiful taxis all queing up outside.

as Mastercard says - that would be priceless!

Pol x

Why do a lot of clubs { not all by any means} have sticky carpets? Just a passing thought -too many bladiators perhaps. But you can spot these kinda places a mile off - they're the ones' with the Stena stairlifts!!

I agree with a lot/most of yir reply but why would a club have to close at midnight - defeat the purpose of going out for a dance.

Anyway a busy club doesn't notice who comes and goes, so no worries Cinderalla!!

Cheers
