I do understand. The majority of the music that I listen to...it's 60's, 70's & 80's...ok, some 90's aswell because of the way I was bought up. I grew up listening to Michael Jackson...and never understood the fuss. The same with the beatles.....don't get me wrong, I do respect their music, but it just isn't to my taste. Although I do think John Lennon was an AMAZING songwriter. I can imagine me being very gutted if I had been around when John Lennon died - but not to those extremes.
People assume that because I didn't grow up in THOSE days..I can't possibly know anything about how the music shaped things...hm.
