It probably would look better without the phone wires but I have never done that before so I don't know how to do it. Every artwork should have a flaw, perfection is never beauty in my eyes, it is a wasted obsession. Better to appreciate an artwork, flaws and all just as you might appreciate the person who created with flaws and all. Or some bollocks like that Laughing

Superb photo.
I notice you've got more photo on flickr since I was last there. I'll spend some time tomorrow looking at those.
You must have had a good day! Laughing

Just posting one of my cycling trip today. Sorry if people think its morbid, but saw this grave stone today and thought it was just awesome, but very sad at the same time. You best view it in full size by clicking the thumbnail though.....then click on the larger image to change it to full size.

Thanks to both of you for your comments. I have been playing around with this photo today and I have come up with a version which I think suits it best. Earthy monotone glow, I think it suits the subject far better than the vivid colours in the original.

Lovely photo, Scottie. And an impressive monument.
Did you make a note of any details?
Was one of the names on the side 'Vernon March'?
It's a variant of the Angel of Grief.
There's another here:

I don't think it's morbid.
I spent most of a day going around the cemetery in Milan.
(OK, it was either that, or shopping! Razz)

I literally stopped the car on the way home to have a look at this church. My mate was too tired so he waited in the car and as a result I felt a bit pressured to not take too long. Rural churches are much more interesting than the inner city ones I find. Just dont ask me to pray in one

I went out for a drive around Pendhurst, Kent today.

Unfortunately you cant see the house on the horizon at that size of the pic....

Looks amazing, doesn't it?
You almost expect it to get up and follow you around!
Creaking and swishing as it moves...
Complaining about how it's been mistreated and abandoned over the years! Laughing
(Sorry the puncture spoiled the day. Sad )

I was seeing a lot of very mature Yew trees at this place, druids grove, and some of them had such a huge girth! some looked completely dead from the bottom of the trunk up until the tops of the very top branches and there they would have a few green leaves.

It made me think, about the human mind actually. The tree is probably like that (dead to everywhere except where it gets the sun) in order to survive. Like the brain, in a coma, to the outside it is dead, not responding to life outside or stimulus but inside most alive in just that little place, the imagination/dream part. Enough to keep it going.

Sorry if that sounds weird of morbid, but that is a thought I had as I walked through that place. But yeah, it's a bit of a weird thought Laughing

Have your read The Bridge by Iain Banks?
That's a story based on that idea. It's brilliant! Laughing
(I've read it 3 times. Yeah, eventually I hope to get it right! Razz )

No I have not read that book. I don't read much fiction. The unconscious survival instinct is so strong, but where does it come from I wonder and what drives it? Confused
