Lovely photo!
That athmospheric sky, the still, deep, but troubled waters, and the long, long shadows being cast over them! Laughing

Here's one of the park bandstand.
(treated with illumination effects and then coloured foil! Rolling Eyes )

That's brilliant handsel!

There's an old bandstand up on southside clapham common - shame they are not used anymore.
Or maybe some are?

I remember in the late 70's bands played in Bournemouth gardens, but as far as I know the bandstand is all but derelict now.

I dont know of any locally to me, but the ones in Eastbourne and Bognor Regis are still in use. The Eastbourne one is huge and has some good concerts in the summer.

Great photo, Scottie. It has a geometric composition to it. You certainly love those dark and brooding skies! Laughing I wouldn't think there are many left as working oast houses.
If it were my photo, I'd take out the telephone wires. Other people look horrified and say, 'But you can't do that!' But phone wires, people, dogs - they all come out, unless I want them in! Wink Would you do something like that?
Or is that another blasphemy? Laughing

It probably would look better without the phone wires but I have never done that before so I don't know how to do it. Every artwork should have a flaw, perfection is never beauty in my eyes, it is a wasted obsession. Better to appreciate an artwork, flaws and all just as you might appreciate the person who created with flaws and all. Or some bollocks like that Laughing

Nah, I don't think it's cobblers! Wink
The more I think about the flawed beauty idea…
You could be on to something, Scottie! All the greats have their flaws.
Venus de Milo: those missing arms
Mona Lisa: the early botox abuse
Shakespeare: bringing on that serious stuff to spoil the comic turns
Wagner: I think Edgar Wilson Nye said ‘better than it sounds'
Tracey Emin: (Well, anything! )

I put some of my photos on Panoramio.com

Tonight I went to house party with the guys from the office and ate stupidly spicy food.

The may or may not related to my earlier stupidity of going out sight seeing in the midday sun!
