Today I wish to be out of this office and on a river somewhere with a packed lunch, a beer and a good book (for when I portage on a quiet field with a low bank). Instead I am in the office being held captive by power crazed civil servants!

I had problems with a postman recently, he kept leaving large card envelopes of my photographic print orders outside my front door because they were too big to fit through the letter box. They were clearly mark on the envelope "Photographs inside, handle with care" but on 3 occasions he left them outside, once in the pouring rain. I made a complaint and it has not happened since so I think he must have been told.
Also, my glasses arrive tomorrow, so i look forward to some better vision LOL

Today I received my glasses from glassesdirect and wow I have been missing out on some sharpness! I have to say it is taking some getting used to my first ever pair of glasses, I think my eyes are beginning to adjust now though after 2 hours of wearing them. Plenty of people said they looked good on me. My girlfriend said I like hotter in them, but then again, she said that about the vicar outfit! PMSL

Glad you've got them now Scott. I wear glases sometimes too but I still remember that time when I was about 15 that I got my 1st pair of glasses and it was only then that I realised just how much I couldn't see, I just had no idea what had been missing. I wear glasses when I need to as I've discovered that I actually prefer sight without them. When I wear glasses I get a great detail, and depth of field.I can see all the freckles on skin, hair looks messy, and every leaf on a tree wants to be in my paintings.... then there's the dilemma, is my painting finished from seeing it with or without my glasses on??? |
With them on of course because then you would have seen it through both ways on/off?

Thanks for your comments Handsel glad you enjoyed seeing my work and I very much I appreciated you coming to visit.
It was a shame that the weather turned out so rough. I was wondering if you managed to get some great camera shots of the disturbed sea during the gale force winds, hail and thunder before you returned home. |
When I come up to Suffolk to visit my aunt next time I am going to have to call in and see your art for myself Sue. I might get up there this summer some time if I can as Suffolk and Norfolk is great for kayaking as well

Today the sun is out and I am happy to be here in London even if it is dirty and smelly in some parts

Car battery died so had to call the AA out to start the car, was in Tooting at the time and had no desire to be in that area at all!

luckily you never have to wait long with AA, i broke down on the way back from hastings once and it only took them 12 minutes to get to me. I almost creamed at how fast that response is. |
True, I waited about 15 minutes too, the guy took me to the local kwik fit where i bought a new battery and was on my way within 45 minutes of the initial breakdown
Today I ignored the ofsted inspectors and had fun watching managers fall over themselves to please them! At one point there were four managers waiting at the main entrance lobby for the inspector to come back from another site visit, looked like they were waiting for a royal visit! classic scene

Today I had a lazy one. One more day at work and then I am off to Belgium for a week, hope the weather holds out!
