Just felt the need to explain this. I pretty much always think outside of the box. I'm also an amateur philosipher and an insomniac, a dangerous combination. When I was younger I was tested for Autism but found to just have an extremley hyperactive mind.

I don't argue or disagree with poeple for arguments sake like many people who don't know me believe. I undersand other peoples views and take every thing people say into consideration. In fact I over analyse every thing that I hear and read.

All makes for good forum discussion though dosn't it.

I think way too much and it has made me quite mad lol Razz

Try being a woman and over analysing everything.. that would really drive you mad....

It's good that people do think outside the box.

It's good to have somebody around like that...keeps the mind active

I tend to over-think things. But once I have made my mind up about something - there is no changing my mind. And then I have to get my point across without being interrupted!

I must admit that I'm very prone to lateral thought (constantly thinking outside the box, thinking sideways, etc) and when I was a kid it was discovered that I was intelligible because I was simply speaking and thinking too fast.

The years have aged me now and I now probably think at normal speed. Lateral thought has helped me in my career as a software developer and (for two years) an inventor for a major corporation. However it has hindered me too as it tends to set me apart.

However I probably agree with Socrates in that "a unconsidered life is not worth living". I can't live a life without intellectual stimulation anyway, I would soon die of boredom or rebel in some way.

Mind you I still needs to exercise so for me it's a life of bikes and books, for ever seeking to find a balance ...

It's philosophy - love of wisdom - by the way.

I always think out of the box like so many other artists, we're known for it!
I love it when I win strategy games.......'cos my opposition just can't grasp 'my logic' Actually they see me as totally irrational with my moves .....but then something I do gives me the advantage and I win!!

Love that, vtwin..

Thinking outside the box… bit like ‘blue sky thinking’ or ‘touching base’…’working the problem’ and other management gobbledegook. Very Happy

Yeah I often think too much about the fact that I think too much and that's the stuff that really drives you insane.
