The other night, my daughter let the cat in. The cat, unfortunately, had company in the shape of a mouse hanging out of her gob. To make matters worse, the mouse was still alive and the cat started to paw at it on my floor. Then of course, sod's law came into effect and the cat got distracted. The mouse ran away under a chair and the cat, stupid animal, couldn't find it. Then, to make things worse again....the cat jumped up into one of my leather chairs and had a WEE!!!
I wasted no time in throwing the cat out of the house, barred from re-entering until she found her manners.
Yesterday evening I was sat here when the lil mouse stuck his head in the door. I got up and followed him to the hall with a glass in my hand to try and catch him. I very nearly had the lil fkr too until he ran over my foot and hightailed it into the kitchen.
At seven am my daughter came into me, telling the mouse was sitting at the cooker glaring at her, with all the melodrama a seven year old girl can muster. I laughed at her, quickly deciding that NO I was not getting up at seven am to chase a mouse around the kitchen. I told her to just leave him alone and he'd leave her alone.
A minute ago she called me....."Maaaaaaaaa, the mouse is out and he's LOOKING at me again!!!!"
So I again went after him with a glass, only I think he's wise to me by now and he scarpered under the sofa before I got within range.
Looks like I'll have to get a trap...I really don't want to kill him...he's so cute....maybe I could keep him as a pet....

"Well Ma, are you going to get dressed or just dance about in the nip for the day?"

Well...I might have wanted to dance around in the nip, thanks very much!
So when I finally did get dressed...."Ma, you do know that top is inside out, don't you?"
Well, no I didn't.

Well I was thinking that I'll have to do something with the vivarium I have..... aside from putting a new snake in it... Confused
I'm going to look into getting a python soon. An adolescent one... I'm through raising babies!!!!
But until I get one, the viv has to be put to use! So the mouse might like it. It's very cosy in there......

And yea...she is very smart...a smartarse, more like!

And there was me thinkin i was the only one with a nutcase cat! mine came in last year with said mouse in its gob and put it down to play with it, needless to sat clever mouse done a runner! i just happened to be decorating at the time.... not good! cat chases mouse through roller tray full of white paint then up onto windowv cill thats just been stained in mahogony! thankfully carpets and furnature were covered due to painting. now try and keep hold of cat to clean of paint.......... balls to that, after being clawed to death, cat outside and can clean itself and mouse was never seen again! and cat gets locked out when decorating!
