Sir, I'm sure you could find out any of our first names simply by asking. Or, possibly by going to the thread "What does your first name mean" I think you'll find that more than a few of our names are listed there. It is common to call someone by their first name in a conversation or when referring to something that they have said. Tell me, would you rather be called verycheekyme every time you chatted with someone on here or would you like to be called by your name?

You can call me Sue if it makes you feel more elite or you want to be friendly, it is my name and no secret. There are links from here, that take people to my other websites where I'm an open book.

I know I'm getting in late with this, but the only thing a first name proves is familiarity and friendship. That is not the same thing as a clique. There is nothing exclusive or elitist in using somebody's first name.
I know the guy in the chip shops first name, and I only ever see him when I go in there, so no clique there.

So far all we've proven is you can't accept that you're wrong, and that you get hissy and indirectly insult everybody that doesn't agree with you.

Little in jokes and no condemnation of accounts of violence, whether real or from deluded minds, smacks of odd elitism to me.

Clearly, if the site wants to encourage meat head violence, those responsible for it will turn a blind eye, but if they want more people to participate in it, dismantling some of the cliques might work wonders. (It's only a website, not the freemasons or some secret sect for heaven's sake!)

Some of the present 'In Corwd', have only been posting on here for a matter of months. I've seen a lot of cliques on here in the last 3 1/2 years. Cliques come and go.

Cliques occur on all forums, its been the same on all the forums I've been on in the last 10 years, dating or otherwise. Its always going to happen when you get a few people posting together.

But women dominate all dating site forums, and they ultimately decide where men post...and often what men can post. Its a case of your face has to fit. Thats my experience anyway.

I dont see how the women on here dictate who and where a man can reply or post at all! You have mentioned that several times and i just dont see it or get it!

Its very subtle, but I'm thinking its very natural.

I deleted the rest of my reply because it will be too long for here. But one day, I will do a scientific study about it and publish it on the net.

I applaude verycheekyme! He batters the nail right on the head!

So really what's wrong with being referred to as an elite group, clique or anything else that isn't vulgar, rude or insulting!

The guy is being blunt and yet he gets hammered for it! Why are you all so worried?

OK now tell me i'm not observant etc etc!

Jeggs doesn't want to tell you the truth...
You just haven't made Level 7 of the Secret Elite Women's Dictator Clique yet! Razz

I wrote a full scientific explanation, but the all-powerful SEWDC removed it...

How would 'those responsible' go about dismantling some of the cliques? Confused
(I liked the smiley at the end! Laughing )

She is way above level 7 mate, she's probably vying to be the present godmother of the site

Have you ever seen women when they are at war with each other on these type sites. Best to keep out of it, but its easy to get drawn in Surprised

What's wrong is that it's not true, nobody is trying to exclude anybody. Just because some people post more than others, and get to know people better does not make them a "clique."
Before you decided to leave, you were a regular poster here, did that automatically make you an elitist?
