Memories of my (brief) childhood on the islands in the west indies.......you have to click on the sound button far right, shame its only a few seconds.
Trying to recall all the words!

http://www.akh.se/lyrics/Legend_Of_Sam_Lord.htm

On a little island lived a buccaneero
sam lord was his name.
He wrecked all the vessels laden with gold
sailing from the spanish main.
In a dungeon dark and deep his wife he used to keep
while he terrorised all the land.
until one day they took him away
Oh Sammy was a broken man.

He used to hang the lanterns from the coconut trees
to lure the ships upon the reefs
and when the sailors thought they'd sighted land
alas they ran aground.

....dah dah one day some soldiers came
from his majesty's fleet...dah dah....
they took him away and tied a cord around his neck.

Gosh, that's 30 years back in my memory bank, I remember the tune ok though! Laughing
