I recieved an interesting email and the sceptic in me says it sounds like a hoax, check it out and let me know what you guys think....

"Hello ivanlondon, I'm a young girl, I am very like communication and new friends! I hope, you'll not help me to feel lonely and I will find not only a good companion, but that something more. It is waiting for an answer to my e-mail *NO EMAIL ADDRESSES ALLOWED* kiss!"

Cheers,

Yep, its probably a scammer and even more probably a man. Next thing she/he will do is ask you for money.

Report it to the admin of the site as a scammer, then delete and ignore.

Its unlikely a genuine women would send an email address in the first message.

BTW welcome to the forums.

For the men out there.

Rule 1.
Unless you actually know differently, assume it's a guy pretending to be female in an internet cafe trying to scam you and several other guys simultaneously. It's a bonus if your proven wrong but at least you won't be disappointed if it turns out to be a scammer.

Rule 2.
Despite what they might say, webcams are available across the world and Nigeria does not have a ban on them Smile Majority of internet cafes overseas have them as standard on most of their computers.

Rule 3.
No matter how sad their story is when they ask you to send money IT'S A SCAM! Also, it does not cost 700 dollars a week for their rent, you could probably rent half their country for that.

Rule 4.
Look for inconsistent grammar. Most of the scammers forget to use the first person singular on occasion.

" Anything you want to say, you can do so here. We don't need to go elsewhere, as it's free." By no means a foolproof way of making the scumbag scammers disappear, but it seems to work and a lot easier than banishing everything and anyone related to Nigeria to outer space...regrettably.
