As the subject heading says, have you been affected, if so how bad...
also do you think the government is right to hold back funds for the uninsured who are effected.

indirectly yes, felt a bit guilty about enjoying the spectacle in the morning when I was watching the news last night poor sods!

I know its a long shot but the developers and planners who built houses etc on flood plains should be held responsible - but that's the troube with our society, money is the only thing that matters!

As for the government, I stay away from politics, economics etc but I think they must at least make sure people should have the essentials, a place to sleep, food and medication, as with any crisis...

I got wet feet.

I want government compensation for new shoes!

Ooh, and an Aston Martin. I wouldn't have got wet feet if I'd been driving an Aston Martin...

Slightly affected twice so far.

1. I went to 1 day of a music festival, and camped over night. The next morning we slept in for ages because it was raining so much and we didn't want to put our tent away. Driving off the site was fun for our driver, as the car slid sideways in the mud. We were sort of glad we were not there for the full 4 days.

2. I've had to check the situation with the trains, because of problems, and there's only 1/2 as many trains running, with delays, and it's likely I'll have no seat. I'm just grateful I can travel, though, because yesterday there were no trains running!

On the way home last night I had to walk through a massive puddle...

All the rain from the hill I live on had made its way to the road at the bottom..

meh.

The cat on my car screwed up when i went through a small lake on a back road and now I need a new one, not cheap and I also now have a misfire which i cant track down presumably due to the same road and all the mini lakes Sad

Nope. I'm 1,000ft above sea level here. Welcome to ark country. We laugh at your puny floods.
