I'll be in Trafalgar Square tomorrow for the coconut event (led apparently by Terry Gilliam & Terry Jones)

It's also William Shakespeare's birthday tomorrow.

and Brown

Well, people do celebrate it - for example town halls in England will fly the flags, the Scouts (largest youth group in the country) have a St Georges day event in most areas of England, people will make a special effort to have a st georges drink tomorrow - perhaps drinking a special st Georges ale?

Me? Well I ran a 'St Georges' 10km Race sunday - lots of dragons and stuff/

And yes, another public holiday in March - April - May would suit me well and only have one more before Christmas

And why shouldnt people be proud of where they come from? Im proud to have come from somewhere.

Well said sir!
All hail the ale!
All cheer the beer!
We should have a day off and celebrate some obscure unrelated geezer from Turkey as far as I know Confused
I'm English and proud of it, the rainy summers, the cloudy ale, cream teas, scrumpy with bits in, the sound of leather on willow (that's cricket, not bondage).... Smile

Ooooh dear....I'm suffering this morning! Damn you St George for doing the dragon thing* on my bday.
Went to the local, several people joined me, ended up on tequilas , we all came back to my place and continued after chucking-out time, one of my mates had a 'chucking-up' time outside Vomit, dont remember much after that, but there is a welcoming splatch of something in my front garden - it looks like spag-bol and lager.
(And coincidentally 2 other 'regulars' in my local were celebrating thier bdays as well, whats the chances of that happening?!)

(* - I'm not entirely convinced by the legend about the dragon killing, but hey-ho, for the purposes of the story etc)
