It's actually true though - if everyone had to vote by law then at least we'd have a proper result. Under the current system, if there is only 60% turnout and a government gains power with 60% of that vote then they are only representing 36% of the electorate. So that's essentially non-representative. And there's a large section of the community that aren't registered to vote too. Who represents them?

Whatever though, most politicians etc are only 'holding down a job' anyway, it doesn't really make much difference who is in power, it's still a load of 'suits-full-of-bugger-all' milking the public and not really doing anything.
