fullstop

hope youre ashamed to be rangers fans after last nights actions by their sectarian bully boys in Manchester.
Sadly we've become accustomed to Rangers fans causing trouble wherever they go.
hopefully uefa will ban them from europe for a long time now

Do you know what 'isn't bad'? 0 arrests. 1 arrest is too many. I have not seen scenes of violence like those in Manchester last night for years, and it shamed British football.

If it isn't sectarianism with that lot its this.

I don't really follow football, but if my daughter did, I would never take her to a match, just because of stuff like this.
It makes me cringe to think of all the people who go to matches out of love for the game, and end up tangled up in this sort of shit.
It is pretty sad really, I can't see how violence has anything to do with football.

This doesn't happen all the time Mega, majority of football matches pass without any trouble. If you love something enough then why should you let a few tossers stop you from going to a match?

Yeah, I know what you mean, if it were just me going, then it wouldn't be so bad (even getting a kicking).
But I wouldn't risk taking any kid of mine to a match, just on the off chance that they would get caught up in shit like that.

It is hard to explain if you don't have kids......

This is what annoys me most about events like last nights. They had nothing to do with the football, the neanderthals who engaged in it are not true football fans.

The fact is Megz that at a lot of football grounds, police and security are in place and there is no trouble to speak of. Maybe the odd arrest for drunken behaviour, but on the whole there isn't anything to speak of. But saying "Every match in England passed off today with no arrests" doesn't make the news.

I have attended Albion matches for 10 years, missing only a handful, and I have never ever seen anything approaching last nights scenes, even for local derbies. Rangers fans should be banned from travelling, and the club fined.

I think you'll find England is the world leader in cleaning up its act, especially with the national team. The true fans and the FA are now working together to make sure that there is little or no trouble.

before i start i would like to say that i dont condone rangers sectarian ways or previous trouble but it seems odd to me that in their previous 17 european games this season there has been no violence then one game in manchester and there are arrests.whos to say all the trouble was caused by rangers fans.
