So, has anyone got plans for 2009? Are you going to muddle along and see what happens, or have you decide to take charge and make things happen this year?
For me, work wise, I have a lot of things lined up at work, an NVQ 3 course and Management course, both that I can do on site while I work, but would mean I would have to stay in retail for at least 18 months, and would only be applicable to retail really.
The thing is, I don’t want to be in retail anymore.. The trouble is, that’s all I’m trained for!
I’m interested in training as a Phlebotomist.. Now this is as different as you can get to retail, but I think I would be very good at it.
At my age I have to think what do I want to be doing for the next 20 odd years of my working life, and I know I don’t want to being serving customers, where as I can see myself treating patients..
So… spend 18 months becoming a stressful manager.. Or 6 months training to be a people person?.. I know what I’m looking into!

As for my love life..
Um yeah.. Now that’s where it becomes complicated!
After just ending a relationship with someone very special, I’m not sure I could match it (not that I’m looking to) if I couldn’t make a relationship work with him, there’s not much hope for me! I’m to much into my own space to go into a “regular date” type relationship, but I do miss company, so not sure what the year holds in store really! There’s nothing I would like more tonight then a cuddle (still feeling poorly) but then I want to get up in the morning and get on with the day as I want! I know that’s selfish, hence why I’m single lol!

So… your year ahead?

I plan to become more self-confident, I've already improved vastly over the last year, and I'm hoping to do even better in the coming months.

Probably be more bitter then 2008.

I was preoccupied most of last year with proving myself on another board, which absolutely worked. I am now one of the most popular people on there. Is that good..I'm not sure.

To be the same really, caring, genuine, honest person .......... who is strong in what she believes in and not let anyone bring me down ............ Maybe meet a nice guy who appreicates all the sbove, but if i dont then no worries ........... all i care about is staying true to myself and be the best mum, daughter, sister , auntie and of course friend i can be xxxxxxx


and of course all the usual crap, lose weight, give up fags, etc etc .........

Oh i forgot one ............. i hope to be able to stop worrying about people i care about, quite so much, consumes my day sometimes and is hard to handle sometimes ............ but i am getting better xxx

Work - Prob just plug away with the nightshifts though it aint doing my love life much good (but then ive been nights for only 2 years so whats my excuse for the other years lol)

Football - continue to follow and play as much as possible

Family and friends - do my best to curb my passive agressive ways (it must get on their tits to hear me rant all the time - they never say it tho - diamonds for that )

love life - ? lol

other than that i just want to get back down to a size 32 waist

Family: As I've practised it already in 2008 (see new year resolutions 2008): I am not going to rescue anybody anymore as it is much too exhausting but I'll be there if somebody is about to drown.

Job: Hmm - that will be interesting: my horoscope implicates that I change from a drudge to a creative position...

Love: I think I still might feel a bit too comfortable how it is now - I continue my route of 2008 and do for me unusual things in 2009

Spirit: As I am not attached to that at all I thought it would be nice to get an idea of what this is about this year.

My main plan for this year takes place in May when I'm joining the Norfolk Open Studios event for the first time, so I expect to be working hard to produce some lovely new paintings and finish all the half-finished ones I've got lying about.
I'm planning to develop some of my spiritual work and dedicate some more time for meditation and psychic portraits/mandalas.
I also want to travel a bit to visit my family and friends who I don't get around to seeing that often.
There's a few specific skills I want to learn so I will be looking to see what's the best way for me to acquire them.
I feel very positive for 2009
