Yeah but any fool knows that we can make-up statistics to support any theory.....63% of men aged 25-45 in England hate 39% of pets.... i reckon

But out of those 63% you have to knock off 20% that were single another 25% that were allergic and the 18% left had only known 5% of the pets they hated.

I adore my two cats. I've always had cats at home so it'd be weird not to have one around. Then again Casper's driving me up the wall, keeps bringing in "presents"... alive and dead!

Don't agree with the forcing people to have pets though.

I knew a guy who said he had eaten cat once, I was obviously horrified and sickened, but all the same I was curious as to what it tasted like, so I asked him. He thought about it for a moment, looked at me and said,

Well thats a difficult one really. I am allergic to cats, dogs, hamsters, horses (any furry/hairy animal really), some more so than others, so for 'hating due to allergy' it has to be cats and dogs fairly equally, especially as they're the most common pets I often find myself visiting someones house for the first time to find they have a cat Mad
....And for all those who don't realise....it makes no difference whether the pet is there or not.
If you're talking about 'hating pets for pointlessness', I would say it's gotta be things like budgerigars, hamsters, tortoises, anything that doesn't really do anything or contribute in any way.
I reckon a lot of the time it's not so much the pets I object to, but more so the owners that have no common sense.
Examples;
Person who works long hours, lives in a flat, buys a dog that needs lots of exercise.
People who live near ridiculously busy roads and let thier cats out all the time (and that cats by nature will roam around and go in neighbours gardens and make a mess etc)
People who get an unusual pet and insist on carrying the poor thing around with them everywhere, like some kind of snake or lizard, or insect (and btw, whats the thing about pirates and parrots? Confused )
