Hi ya Jeg!

Been thinking about going back on the learning curve too! I fancied brushing up on my surveying skills! It won't be long before we both are the venerable old geezers on here though! I was seriously thinking about changing my profile!

Free to first good offer LOL!

Wonder if it would work?

Wouldn't be a bad thing going back to learning..You need qualifications more now then ever.
Its a young mans game as they say..don't know if there's going to be anything for me at the end. Don't suppose I'll be any worse off with a degree.

We've only got 10-15 years and we'll have to think about retiring Surprised ..cant believe I'm nearly 50. Doesnt seem long ago that I was a punk Rocker with green hair back in 1976.

I thought you had a love interest sorted ?

Its mainly women that live long ages...on a serious note, I've had loads of good mates die recently in their early to mid 60's. People that I've known for 40 years, and I've seen them go from being young men to old men, then dieing. Some of them just dropping down dead.
One was Jimmy Trainer ex England dart player. Not one of the overweight ones, he always kept himself trim, just dropped down dead at 61, out of the blue. I owed him a lot of favors I couldn't repay him.

I think they should put woman's retirement age up to 70 and put men's down to 55 Smile

I've got qualifications, problem is I cant use them anymore. Confused

I know what you mean Jeg i'm up to degree standard in Cartography and Surveying problem is it's all digital now! although i have the work experience and a certificate in marine cartography but it's still a narrow field to work in! as for dropping dead i believe that's what the govt hopes for! it means less pensions to pay!

Cynical sod i am LOL

Its only men that die early..my mums 85, and she is one of the youngest women in the home she lives in. There are 35 flats all full up and only about 8-9 men live there, mainly in there 70's...The rest are widowed women, and I suspect that's reflected everywhere.
Must be all the lazing about woman do nattering to each other Laughing

I think there's going to be problems on the jobs front soon, I feel sorry for the young..its so different then when we left school.
