Dude it's not going for the "rentboy look", it's just looking like who I am. It's pretty funny when guys like you say they get tattoos and piercings because it's tough, when they are clearly trying to show everyone how tough they are (even though they are generally unfit pub-goers who can't run round the block). Toughness comes from the inside, and you shouldn't have to try to look like a hard nut to be one. I've played rugby on a broken back, torn shoulder and countless other injuries. I've done more endurance events than you can count. I've cycled up mountains, fucked myself up many times but still carried on and competed in world and Olympic grade sailing events. just because I don't look like a thug, doesn't mean I'm not tough and need a tattoo and peircing to proove it.

Have to agree with mofox on this one.
I get scratched, cut, poked, burned and bruised on a daily basis at work. The last thing I want to do is pay to have someone stick a needle in me for the sake of vanity. I understand why people do it though, it's just not for me.
