There are many people whose motives for being here are very different to your own, and sadly there are those who just think it's all a big joke and amusing to waste people's time. Amongst the riffraff are the genuine people who hope to form new friendships and lovers.

It's usual to be talking/messaging a few people at the same time on web dating, so maybe some people just block everyone else once they've found somebody they're especially interested in. Also, some may block people from places too far away as a filter once they realise it's going to be difficult for a relationship to happen.
We can only guess really...... but I think they would be referred to as a 'time waster'
