Personally I find starbucks to be crammed, staff are usually rude due to being overworked and underpaid and they are often not clean.

Try La Strada in Landsdowne Row, Mayfair. Although its in London so in a busy setting, lots of great coffee, plenty of seating on terrace, friendly staff and some really gorgeous continental food as well.
