I have spent the last few hours thinking if I had in fact done the right thing considering the terrential downpour last night. Wondering if this wild dove bieng held in captivity in its last hours would of in fact preffered to of been gasping it's last breath in the open and free air. You did what you could for the little guy. Sounds like where ever the dove ended up he/she was going to bite the dust eventually. At least you gave him/her a little thrill before stumbling off the mortal coil.
