I got phished on it recently but I've sorted it now. but got a horrid message from a man. I really wanted to kick his arse. So a wadged a campaign on him for a few days...like telling him how shite his tattoos were cos he was obviously very proud of them. Horrid prat of a man. I think I have delelted my account now.

which I think is ace cos only invited people can see your page. Old school friends, a couple of people from this site and family I lost touch with all on there so it is well cool to keep in touch and see tagged pictures of everyone.

Way too many pervs, scammer and other idiots on myspace, hence the reason why i'm building my own website!

myspace is best for customization, communications and networking friends in my opinion. whatever site you open to the public with such features will get exploited by vermin eventually, unfortunately

I know that you can do some pretty cool things with myspace but I haven't figured out how to use it properly yet.

Somehow I don't trust non-European websites that store a lot of personal details

In France, Germany, the United Kingdom etc...you have a lot more data protection then in the USA....the government has not the right or even chance to access your data.

In the USA, the government can just read all your messages....see what websites you access what people you contacted etc.

Imagine there is a "terrorist" or someone though of as a terrorist...or kiddy fiddler on MySpace..and some day you happen to message him/her for whatever reason - you will be linked to that person and might also appear on a list of potential terrorists or criminals.

There are enough stories of people who have been tortured in some secret USA prisions for years as they were mistaken for terrorists...or that have been accidentally been arrested on their way to the holidays as they had a stop over in the USA and were wrongly listed in the computer system....and then they appeared as criminals....

The more data the US government has about you, the more likely it is you might appear on some weird lists by accident.....I personally don't trust myspace - they have even arrested people just because they have sent a wrong message to the wrong person at the wrong time. They keep all your ip addresses...know where you live and everything. Imagine you received a message from someone who is 15 and you replied...even if it was just to say "you are too young for me" - this might be enough that you happen to appear on a love offenders list or a list of potential love offenders in the USA.

Just one of many examples....but this is just my personal opinion. I know for example where the Flirtbox webservers are safely hosted in a constitutional country with laws that prevent arbitrary access by the government for threadbare reasons...or even without the knowledge of anyone.
