hi..just wanted to add my tuppence worth..lol
Mind games are played to gain empowerment over another..person playing the game believes, mistakenly, that they are then the person in control and have THE power..which helps them survive and cope with there own miserable unhappy lives...
but thats my opinon...lol

some weird little people dont realise the effects they have and to be honest couldnt give 2 hoots about the other persons feelings, they are just bored and like to mess with peoples heads as they are generally fucked in the head themselves!! excuse my foul language!!
