Magic Mushrooms will be banned in Holland from December, 1st 2008 onwards.



So this weekend will be a busy weekend in Amsterdam I assume.

Every year about 1.5-2 Million Magic Mushrooms were sold to tourists there....

ALthough there are no known negative side-effects through the consumption of Magic Mushrooms,
Health minister Ab Klink succeeded in banning them...

haha reminds me of my flatmate back at uni, he actually ordered mushrooms thru the net lol dont ask how.. he got high off it once and called me over to the garden overlookin some woodland area and he put his arm around my shoulder sayin "ish check this, look at the trees over there, ohhh look ish, its so waaaaavy, its waavy ish, we are blessed ish, nature is god ish, its sooo waavy"

Although picking and consuming magic mushrooms is illegal in this country they grow freely and wildly all over including London. You just have to know where to go and how to identify them

I always thought it was just preparing them that was illegal? i.e. boiling, cooking or drying or whatever it is people do with them.
I suppose I just thought it was not illegal to pick them wild and eat them raw?

Knowingly picking, buying or preparing magic mushrooms is illegal although a random patch growing in your garden does not mean you'll be arrested.

My brother and his mates picked a load once and dried them by the fire at our house (me and bro were about 15/16 at the time). They disappeared upstairs and came down some time later to find the dog just finishing them. She slept well
