Supposing you could choose to induce from a person more of one thing than the other, which would it be: "LOVE", or "RESPECT"?

Not always the case. A person could wholly care for another's well-being, and could possibly "take a bullet" for them. That's not to necessarily say that they hold any amount of respect for that same person. Take siblings, for example. A lotta love there, but not too much respect, at times.

respect definately, i dont believe you can even begin to love someone trueley without any respect. i was in a relationship where she loved me yet didn't respect me to the bone. x

They should but often don't.

I'd take neither in favour of trust myself.

To be perfectly honest when it comes to emotions we are quick to separate them. To me though, they aren't really that separate they are just different fronts of something which can be present together or separately.

Then again, respect is more logical and love more emotional so maybe they are a bit different. So someone who respects you but doesn't love you is a friend. Someone who loves you but doesn't respect you just won't have what it takes to make a relationship work and will probably make friendship pretty difficult too.

So if you are asking either/or, I would rather have good friends than something that just isn't going to work. If you're asking for the presence of both but which one would tip the balance, I reckon probably love. I can't quite explain that though!
