You cant use a smiley face on all text based communications - for example some modile phones, so LOL will have to do untill we cen send proper emotions I think.
LOL for amusing or to show you are joking, ROFL for funny, PMSL for funnier still - often used when someone actually LOL, I think thats right.
What about for angry, serious or sad? What letters should be used for that?

tell you what is annoying, when people type their msg first and then have the quoted text they are replying to underneath...ffs..
