Why do some topics get locked?

Because they get out of control, are pointless, cause trouble, to name just a few reasons really.

Got any particular one(s) in mind?

well i posted one about a user that i was chatting to for about 3/4 weeks and then he asked me for money. Scammer i am sure cos since i said no....no contact

Ah, that one, the only reason that one was locked was because it was in the wrong section.

It is great to post about it there, as anything that helps weed out the muppets can only be a good thing.

Oh yes, i always zoom straight to the locked topics, especially if i've been away awhile! Love to see what i;ve missed -- i dont have telly to watch Eastenders, thats my excuse....
