I am a 'non-believer', but in honour of my Grandmother who is a good, though sometimes moody, Christian woman, I give up something for lent each year. So as usual, between now and Easter I shall NOT eat chocolate! Anyone else giving up a 'sin'?

marry that for a game of soldiers!

I can't think of anything sinful to give up. I lead a more-or-less non-sinful life, as one might imagine.

Mr Darkhorse said he was going to give up love for Lent, but I think Miss Cork Legs might have something to say about that

Made me chuckle a bit..I'm not sure eating chocolate is a 'sin' Very Happy could be classed as a vice though, so you're probably okay

im giving up lent for lent. no more will i have to try and think of something to give up and then completely forget when lent is and why im giving things up, to remember what i have? all i have to do is look around me to do that...

jesus went through an awful lot of suffering for what would seem to be nothing... maybe your average joe wasn't much smarter than a shoelace in those times and had to be taught some obvious lessons...

my advice, buy new shoelaces.
